About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment

(as a service user),

I arrived at the ward at the appointed time and was immediately taken to a room.

I was put at ease by friendly and efficient staff and was informed of the procedure to check the condition of my leg.  Roberta, Lisa and Jodie, the nurse specialist, have excellent communication skills and this helped allay any anxiety felt by me.  After an ultrasound , carried out by the proficient ultrasound team, I returned to the ward where I was informed that I did not have a deep vein thrombosis. A good outcome.

My care throughout was excellent and I should like to thank the whole team involved in my care, especially Jodie , Roberta and Lisa who are great examples of caring nurses , showing a high standard of  professional excellence. Well done ARI. And your staff.

Many thanks for sharing your experience with us. I am delighted to hear that your investigations showed no deep vein thrombosis and that your appointment and treatment went so well.

I am also reassured to hear that the team involved communicated with you throughout your appointment and were able to provide you with information in order to help reduce your anxiety levels. We always aim to deliver very personal centred care and glad to hear that you experienced this.

I am so pleased to read your comments regarding the staff that cared for you in particular Jodie, Roberta and Lisa and the professionalism and caring nature that these nurses showed and will ensure that your comments are shared directly with them - they will be delighted.
