I arrived five minutes early for an appointment made over the phone but found the check-in system would not check me in. I waited around five mins at the receptionist window and was ignored while the receptionist carried on typing on a computer. I was then told my appointment was cancelled as I was nine minutes late. They had me down for an appointment slot ten mins earlier than I had been given on the phone. I said this was wrong - I had booked time off work on the strength of the appointment they had given me on the phone and was unlikely to be wrong. This comment was not accepted and I was told I would have to make another appointment. the nurse came through and said I'd arrived a minute after she'd pressed the non attendance button - but even if this was on the basis of the earlier appointment that would have only made me four minutes late! I was appalled at the abrupt and uncaring attitude, and inflexibility. I was worried about my results and in a bit of a state and this attitude pushed me over the edge to be frank. They need to be clear about appointment times - this was supposed to have been an half hour appointment slot anyhow and I fail to believe even if their original time was correct I could not have been seen with a shorter appointment. The manner of the receptionist was appalling - totally lacking in any consideration of kindness or care. What a place!
