"Visit to children's A&E"

Ended up in A&E after my daughter was injured at school. The initial check in was very quick and we were sent straight through to the children's department. Given an initial assessment straightaway and pain relief. We then waited for approximately an hour, which was not an issue as the children's waiting room has been decorated really well, lots to keep waiting children occupied and a very relaxing atmosphere. However I was most impressed with the amazing nurse who dealt with us. She was so calm, friendly and professional; my daughter was terrified just to be at the hospital but this lady took the time to reassure her and explain what was happening and why, and was just a funny, lovely woman! Luckily everything was ok and we were discharged but it really does make a difference when you have a professional who genuinely cares about their patients. It made what could have been a horrible experience good considering the circumstances. She is an absolute credit to ESH.
