"Chasing an appointment for 3 weeks - Imaging..."

I have now been chasing an appointment for a barium follow-through for three weeks. I have been asked to call the following day to see if the request has been checked and approved by a particular member of staff. It turns out to be that this person has been out of office and no one else seems to be able to progress the appointment, which is 'waiting for protocol' -whatever this means!

I have been asked to send an email, and another one, and having spoken to different managers through the operators, no one has yet rung me -as promised, or answered my emails.

I have now been provided with this person's direct line but alas!... there is no answer.

I have been spending between 45 min to 90 min daily trying to speak to someone from the Imaging Team at UCLH, a very frustrating experience.
