My 17 sister was taken into the manor hospital on sunday 9th october with pains in her stomach, only finding out she was pregnant just a week beforehand. She had these pains for around 2 days before she went to hospital. In 7 hours of being at the manor all they had done was got her to do another pregnancy test which was still saying positive. Finally after 8 hours of being there they decided to give her a blood test to check for hormone levels, only to send her home before they got the results less then a hour later. They booked her in for a a scan on the 21st which would made her around 7 weeks.

Then on the Tuesday my sister was taken back into hospital with the same pain and some bleeding. they carried out some more blood tests and found out that the hormone levels were low and told her she had miscarried. They then sent her home without any scan to check for anything left in the womb and with no offer of help. This was on the Wednesday.

My sister has had miscarriages previous to this event and they did not take this into consideration when deciding how serious the pains or bleeding were.

Being through miscarriages before i am disgraced at how they allowed a 17 year old girl to have to wait 8 hours before even doing proper testing and then just to send her home at 4am. I feel my sister was not properly cared for and am very concerned as to why she has been allowed home without even a scan.
