"Hernia operation carried out by a wonderful team"

About: Spire Liverpool Hospital

I arrived at the hostpital @ 7-30 June 6 1918 for a hernia operation ,within minutes of arriving I was taken to my private room by a nurse who made me feel so at ease it was untrue, shortly after that the Anaesthetist came to see me asking various questions about my health and habits, he left and shortly after this my doctor arrived to talk me through the procedures,I was then escorted to the theatre where the Anaestist gave me a wealth of information concerning other parts aside from my hernia ,that I should contact my doctor about ,all I can remember after that was waking up in recovery, shortly after this I was taken back to my room and treated like a lord all day during my recovery , the nursing staff and every one concerned were fantastic ; the Matron even came to have a word ,I was then discharged and sent home where I’ve had a wonderful sleep and only slight discomfort from the wound and must emphasise the slight discomfort ,in all what can I say I feel brand new and a very big thank you to all at Spire hospital who contributed to my well being .i almost forgot to mention the receptionist who also was very welcoming thanks again.
