"Maternity Unit"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Maternity

I’ve just had my first baby at Preston Hospital and cannot praise the midwifes enough. I originally wanted a water birth at chorley birth centre however due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to have this type of labour and was instead induced at the maternity unit. I arrived feeling anxious and upset that my birth plan wasn’t going to plan however the midwifes and support workers were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond to make me feel reassured and safe. The quality of care I received was fantastic & I will be forever greatfull to them for making this life changing experience the best it could have possibly been. They are true assets to Preston Hospital & the NHS!

This is a pleasure to read.

We're so glad to know that from a shaky start this turned into a wonderful experience for you, thanks to the quality of care given by our Maternity team.

They will be very touched to read your kind comments.

We hope the family is all settling in nicely together,

With best wishes,
