I’ve just had my first baby at Preston Hospital and cannot praise the midwifes enough. I originally wanted a water birth at chorley birth centre however due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to have this type of labour and was instead induced at the maternity unit. I arrived feeling anxious and upset that my birth plan wasn’t going to plan however the midwifes and support workers were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond to make me feel reassured and safe. The quality of care I received was fantastic & I will be forever greatfull to them for making this life changing experience the best it could have possibly been. They are true assets to Preston Hospital & the NHS!
