"Still waiting after 2 years for incisional..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / General surgery

2 yeas ago I was referred to general surgery by my gp after an ultrasound picked up a 7cm incisional her is that came about after an emergency Caesarean section, I have seen the surgeon and I went for an mri scan, the mri was in February 2018, again the report showed a 7cm incisional hernia and gallstones, I have been back to see the surgeon (beginning of June, as hadn’t heard anything after mri so doctor wrote letter to surgeon) again I am still waiting, I am a mother with a 7month old baby and a 2 1/2 year old with additional needs who is non walking and has to be carried all the time and everywhere, this is having a detrimental impact on my health, my husband cannot take time off work to help me as he needs to save the holiday until after I’ve had surgery, I would just like this sorting as it’s making me ill and having an impact on my day to day schedules, 2 years is a long time to wait
