"Excellent care and treatment"

I recently attended the dermatology department with a suspected skin cancer and felt I had to comment on my experience.

All staff were very pleasant helpful and efficient . I was seen on time, if not slightly early.

Initially, I was told the spot would have to be removed but on the initial consultation the doctor froze three other precancerous spots. After being told I would be seen in approx 4 weeks, the hospital rang the next day to say there was a cancellation the following Tuesday.

On arrival, I was called in 15 minutes early, taken to theatre and introduced to all the team.

The procedure was carried out in a very relaxed and calm atmosphere.

I was kept informed and everything was explained to me.

I felt no pain or discomfort and the procedure was completed in 30 minutes.

Before leaving, the nurse explained the aftercare to me.

Since then I have received copies of all reports sent to my doctor and I have my follow up appoinment in 4 weeks. I cannot praise the staff enough.

They have treated me in a very friendly efficient way and took all the fear out of the experience.
