(as the patient),

Burhan was there for me; he was a rock when all others could only express concern at my past behaviour. I was on a Section 2. I knew I could take steps to get better. However, it was Burhan who gave me hope, and helped make me feel like I had someone in my corner.

He was able to arrange 2 hours unescorted release, which allowed me to visit Caerleon Church and the Roman Museum, and even get a haircut. I was able to stretch my legs, but more importantly feel like there was hope, at a time when I was down.

Burhan was there for me at my lowest point. He helped my recovery. I owe him a huge debt, that I can never repay. It was Burhan who helped make me feel like I was worth fighting for.

songthrushdw47, thanks you so much for providing such great feedback. It is rewarding to hear that advocacy makes such a difference to people and provides hope to people who are facing difficult experiences.

That was nice to read.

I am glad that such little effort on my part, could mean so much to someone who helped me so much during my stay on the ward.
