"My sons 3 and a half week stay at RACH."

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Play Service Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Surgical Paediatrics (Children's Surgery)

(as a parent/guardian),

My boy broke his femur at 2.5 years old and was in traction for 3.5 weeks.

All of the staff from nurses, doctors to play services staff and cleaners were terrific!

My son really enjoyed his time with the play staff who made his stay very enjoyable... I’m going to struggle to keep him entertained when we go home as he has never had so much attention haha.

I must say I am very impressed with the facilities in this hospital and am thankful to each and every member of staff for their time and care.

Dear learningwn94

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback which is very much appreciated.

I'm sorry to her your son broke his leg, it's very difficult when you are only 2 and a half to understand why you have to stay in bed for 3.5 weeks (!) so I am really pleased that the play staff helped keep him entertained.

I will pass your thanks directly to the staff in the Surgical Unit, and will make sure the doctors, nurses, play staff and cleaners all hear that you were thankful for the service offered. It really does make such a difference to staff to know what they do is appreciated.

I hope your son has fully recovered and thank you again.

Kind regards
Caroline
