"Endoscopy Department -review for Gastroscopy..."

I attended an outpatients clinc within the endoscopy unit for both Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy scopes.

The entire experience exceeded my expectations.

The welcome I received when I first walked into the unit, the modern clean rooms and excellent nursing staff all of which put me at ease.

The consultant communicated with me at my level, talked me through the procedure, answered my questions in a language I understood. The nursing team helping with the procedure itself were absolutely first class. In particular, administering the cannula so efficiently I didn't even notice.

After the scopes took place I was welcomed by further medical staff and onto a ward to rest, it didn't take long before I was able to drink tea and get home.

The staff were compasionate, the hospital rooms bright clean and modern.

I would like other patients to know that this experience isn't as bad as you think it might be, having been really dreading it over the last two weeks I was genuinely surprised at the outcome. This was down to the staff and environment around me.
