"Let down"

After my husband having a stent fitted in March 2018 and being discharged he was due to be referred on to Cardiologist regarding catheter ablation.

I found out a month later the doctor on the cardiology ward had not completed the discharge so his GP had not been informed and no referral done.

GP apologised and said hed been let down.

A cardiology appt was made for July which has now been cancelled by the hospital with no idea of when he will get another

This is disappointing and frustrating for him as he is unable to return to work until he has seen the cardiologist .

Not good news for a patient with an ongoing heart problem as situation causing more stress.
