"Ward 16b"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / General surgery

ive Just been moved from ward 16a into ward 16b. 16a was very friendly and helpful. 16b don’t seem to care, to say the least I’m not very impressed. Upon arrival into ward 16b I noticed it was extremely hot in the ward so I asked a nurse for a little fan, she said and I quote “there are no spare fans as they are all being used by the nurses at the nurses station due to the heat”. I guess as long as they and comfortable that’s all that matters.

It was also clear that I had no water with me when I arrived In the middle of the night. But I wasn’t offered water and had to go ask for some.

These things may sound petty but when you are unwell and tired little things make a big difference.

Dear patient

Thanks you for your feedback.

I am so sorry to read that when you were admitted to ward 16B at Stoke Mandeville Hospital the nurses did not provide you with a littler fan when you requested one.

I was also sorry to read that they did not provide you with water when you arrived in the middle of the night.

I will pass on your comment to the matron in the ward as feedback.

I hope this is convenient.

Kind regards
