After waiting 10 weeks for my smear results and calling at 4wks and 8 weeks already I was gobsmacked today to be told by the receptionist without her even asking my name - results are talking 8-10 weeks to come through from the hospital and that I needed to wait for them. On trying to raise my concerns and asking if another was necessary she told me to call the hospital to question the hold up if wanted an answer.
I called Kings Mill Gyno dept who advised my surgery had fobbed me off and that they have no results there for local practises - they took all my details and had no records with regards to smear tests. They advised that all results would be with my doctors by now as far as they are aware no hold up with the KM labs at all.
I was fuming so rather than be fobbed off again by the surgery I called NHS England for help and advise - the matter is now in their hands whilst I search for another doctors locally. Crown Medical have brilliant doctors its such a shame the reception team do not have time for patients and seem to not care at all
