At University Hospital North Midlands at North Staffordshire my dearly loved relative was transferred from RSUH to an assessment bed on a different site. Transport was several hours late, and the Ward at RSUH did to check with the receiving ward whether the bed was available. When my relative arrived at the new site that night 'their bed' had been given away. Obviously this was an avoidable distressing situation for my relative.
