"Audiology - the NHS at its best"

Yesterday, 11th June, I visited the Monday morning Audiology repair clinic as I felt my hearing was deteriorating. Despite several patients before me, I was soon seen by an Audiologist who not only re-tubed my hearing aids, but also checked my ears for blockage. On discovering what appeared to be a blockage, she managed to find another Audiologist to confirm her observations and I was told I needed to have micro suction. Within 10 minutes, micro suction had been completed, information for follow-up provided and all of this done on a 'self-referral' basis, but what is more, with complete professionalism, a smile and 'putting the patient first by the staff in the Audiology Dept.
