"Fantastic care during my first pregnancy"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / Maternity

In early 2016 I found out I was pregnant. Everything from the appointments to the services were great. I was admitted into hospital 10 times during my pregnancy most of which I had to stay for at least a night. Midwives were so friendly, caring and down to earth. They made me feel welcome and were always there when i needed a chat or to ask them anything. In oct 2016 i gave birth to my first child, the team went over and beyond for me. Firstly by bringing me gas and air to try before going into labour ward as i had back contractions and then througout active labour. After the delivery of the placenta i lost over 4 pints of blood never have I seen a reaction so fast. Doctors nurses midwifes all came in to help. All of which were trying to keep me calm and my partner and mum whilst taking care of my new born. I was in and out of consciousness and asking questions and they tried to answer as much as possible in a calm relaxed and some times joking way. I couldnt have asked for better care. They literally saved my life and i will be forever greatful. I would be happy to visit the nurses that delivered my baby but I dont think they would remember us as they are always so busy :)
