I attended a Sunday (!!!!) Clinic in Rheumatology today. It was an amazingly positive experience all round.
The staff from the first to the last contact were cheerful, polite and very kind. I especially was/ am incredibly grateful that the doctor I saw, was clued up throughout and most reassuring as to the way forward as well as dealing with my immediate problems too. So I came home with a priceless commodity....HOPE!
I’m aware that Whipps Cross University Hospital has had a bad press in the past, but I would defy anyone to criticise the levels of expertise, care and compassion received at this hospital as I have been a very regular patient so can speak with authority on the standards achieved, and whilst on other occasions the waiting time has been frustrating the care is truly exceptional and surely it’s that that matters. London hospitals by their nature have a huge volume of patients and this in itself provides challenging strategies in today’s world. WELL DONE WHIPPS CROSS!!!!
