"18 months baby with Vomiting and diarrhea A&E"

About: Whiston Hospital / Accident and emergency

Called 111 for my 18 months child who was distressed with severe vomiting . They have sent an Ambulance to take us to whiston hospital. We were promised to be seen in 3 hours time, the department seemed very an organised, , we waited for more than 4 hours and was not seen although i kept asking the nurses when are we going to be seen. Nurses did not even once come and check if the baby is ok although he was vomiting int he waiting room. Nurses were more interested in Chatting , eating biscuit and drinking fizzy drinks at the rather than looking after the patients.

I dont know how can you treat patients with no dignity and respect , we are talking about an 18 months baby.

In the end we had to discharge at 3.5 AM and go see the GP the next morning.
