I went in to the podiatry service to drop off some shoes to be taken in to St Helens to be repaired. Usually a chap picks them up on the friday, takes them to be repaired, and then brings them back to be picked up. When I went in, however, I was told that he'd been made redundant, and none of the staff seemed to have a clue about what was happening to the service.
I think it's very unfair that service users don't know what's going on. I find the service indispensable as I do not have my own transport and find it difficult to get to St Helens myself.
I think they should reinstate the service, or else find some other way of doing things.
