"High praise"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Breast surgery

Having endured 4 weeks of uncertainty, and a couple of quite distressing procedures, I have been given the all clear by The Mermaid Centre for breast cancer. Obviously, I am over the moon, but that is not why I am writing this review.

Regardless of what the outcome could have been, I have genuinely been so impressed and moved by the attitude of every member of the team, from the consultant, to the other radiographers and nurses, who have guided me through this very worrying time.

There are no words that can adequately demonstrate how wonderful each person was, other than to say that I was struck by the high level of respect, compassion, competence, efficiency and professionalism displayed at all times. I also felt that no matter what, everyone had my best interests at heart, and that I could not have wished for better people in whom to place my trust.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback for the Mermaid Centre, it is heartening to read that you had such a positive patient experience at what was understandably an extremely frightening and worrying time for you.

It is wonderful that all staff were professional, compassionate, efficient and respectful throughout and were able to guide you through such distressing procedures, leaving you firm in the knowledge that they all had your best interests at heart.

I am thrilled that you have been give the all clear from breast cancer and I will ensure that your kind words, praise and thanks are shared with the entire Mermaid team who would have contributed to your care.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and I hope that it provides reassurance for any future patients that find themselves in similar circumstances.
