"Thank you"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Sunday morning going into bank holiday Monday my husband had a very nasty fall down the stairs and in the process some how tore his ear off. Everyone that helped us that night morning were fantastic, how do I know this because I’m a nurse with 18 yrs service under her belt who does not and has never worked at ponders. From the first responder, the two lovely paramedic, every one in resus that looked after him, major cubicles, mri crew, porters, surgical unit but especially the max fax surgeon/ trainee who sent 2hrs sewing his ear back on and has saved it! Thank you thank you thank you! Oh and sorry also the consultant who we met on the following tues. If people could experience what we did no one would complain about the nhs you were all so busy and pushed to the limit but gave us your upmost with smiles on your faces. Be proud of yourselves your fab! From a very worried wife (at the time) Fran. My husbands name is John xxxxxx

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback regarding you and your husband's experience to A&E.

I am really pleased to read that everyone who treated your husband, treated him with respect.

From what you have described all of the staff involved in his care provided him with a high standard of care which is something all of our staff strive to achieve.

I will pass on your comments to all of the staff involved as they will be thrilled to read what a positive impact they had on you and your husband's overall experience.

Thank you again and I wish your husband a speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
