What could be improved

It is impossible to get through on the phone.

Even when a GP has identified the need for an appointment and set it up on the system there's some sort of backroom bureaucracy required before the patient can make the appointment. this isn't choose and book, it's just another way of wasting the time of a patient who has been in acute pain for some time.
