Injured my back on April 23rd 2011 & visited local GP on numerous occasions and given pain killers. It was July before I was refered to the mobile unit at North Hykeham for a MRI scan run by the OneHealth Group, unfortunately my GP only requested an appointment with the Physiotherapist and not Physio and MRI scan.
The Physiotherapist was amazed that I had been in so much pain since April and immediatly had me booked in for the next available date for the MRI scan which was for a couple of weeks later, he also promised that as soon as he knew the result of the scan he would ring me at home and not wait for a letter to be sent to me.
Four days after my scan the Physiotherapist rang me to ask if I was still in the same amount of pain which I confirmed I was, he informed me the scan showed the the injury to my back required surgery and he would contact the surgeon immediatly.
The surgeons secretary ran one hour later and confirmed an appointment with Mr Kamat the Consultant Neurosurgen for the beginning of August. I was then admitted to the Thornbury Hospital Sheffield in mid August for the operation which has been a total success and I have not suffered any further pain.
Everyone in the Thornbury Hospital were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable I cannot praise the OneHealth Group personnel enough for the attention that they have given to my illness and urgency applied to getting me well again.
