"Admission to ED"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter recently became unwell in the house.  When we arrived by ambulance, the care and attention that we received was great.

For it being such as busy department, that staff were very attentative to my daughter.  The staff were very professional and courteous.  The quality of patient care  made my daughter feel a bit more relaxed.

From me experiencing a very traumatising situation at home, until we received medical assistance, to then arriving at hospital, to the care that we received whilst here, made a traumatising situation a bit better due to the care that my daughter received.

I am very thankful for the care that my daughter received from the staff within ED on this night.

Dear Beatt66

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, especially at such a difficult and distressing time. I am pleased to read that staff were professional and courteous and provided reassurance during this worrying time.

I will share your comments with the team as feedback is always important to us and it is reassuring to hear that you were happy with the care you and your daughter received. It must have been a worrying time for you and your family and it is important that staff recognise how stressful an emergency situation can be.

I hope that your daughter is recovering well and thank you again for taking the time to share.

Kind regards

Lise
