"hip fracture"

About: Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

I had fractured my hip two weeks earlier but was not seen on X-ray at my local hospital. After a second X-ray the fracture was spotted and I was brought to a n e.

A short wait in the corridor then several hours in a cubicle. It would have been nice to have been fed and watered during this time. By the time I reach the ward dinner has finished and only a sandwich was provided. I was starved for Theatre making total of 2 days with no food except one tuna sandwich. My surgeon was wonderful and the ward staff attentive and kind.
