"Cortisone injection"

I was given a Cortisone injection into my left thumb to alleviate trigger finger, which was causing pain.
The GP explained the procedure in detail and reassured me, as I was quite nervous about having the injection.
I was, however, surprised at how painless and quick, it was due mainly to the expertise of the GP.
