"Speedy and efficient"

This morning I called the surgery wanting to speak to a doctor about a rash that had appeared on my neck, which I was concerned could be meningitis. I’d barely got off the phone to the receptionist when I got a call back from the doctor to discuss, who said I could come straight to the surgery for an appointment. I was seen within minutes and although the doctor concluded she wasn’t currently concerned, booked in for a blood test to be on the safe side. I was able to have the blood test within half an hour of the appointment. It’s days like this when I’m in awe of the NHS!
