I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties.

You are correct that at present we are advised not to take orders for prescriptions on the phone. Unfortunately this is national guidance we have to follow and this advice is followed by the majority of practices. There are safety issues when orders are taken by receptionists on the phone. For example people call and ask for their 'pink tablets' or wrong items are ordered altogether because people can't remember the names.

Have you registered for online ordering of your prescriptions? You can order securely online, make appointments and view your medical record. We just need some ID to make sure you are you and the receptionists can sort this out for you at reception.

We have pharmacists available for you to speak to at the surgery on 01458 270639. In exceptional circumstances we will take orders on the phone but this is done by speaking to a pharmacist and is not done routinely.

I hope I have answered your question but please do ring and speak to the medicines management team if you have any further questions.
