"Fantastic staff on Elmstead Ward ..."

I attended Elmstead Ward [A] at the DGH on Friday 18 May (for a hernia repair) and want to record my thanks and compliment the ward and surgical staff on duty for the care and attention offered during my stay. These reviews do not permit the 'naming of names' but perhaps the team will identify themselves from the date!

The process was not without its occasional 'moment' (eg my hospital record had my address as one where i hadn't lived for 40 years!!) ... but from visiting the GP, consultant referral, pre-admission, the operation itself and subsequent district nurse visits I felt everyone was committed to delivering the very best service possible.

Whilst understanding the daily challenges faced by the front-line staff I remain in awe of the of NHS and the people who are tasked with caring for us when our health is in jeopardy.
