"Huge Thank You to Day Surgery"

Huge thanks to the Day Surgery unit for looking after my daughter for ENT surgery.

My daughter was extremely worried, tearful and frightened and the staff were entirely professional, compassionate and caring.

They did not leave her waiting around and got her through to surgery quickly.

The Surgeon even spent extra time with her to help her understand what they were doing and how they would make sure she would get the best of care.

The nurses on the day surgery unit were so caring, compassionate and human.

They gave hugs and hand holding where needed which is a massive part of nursing.

People need that reassurance and it was given.

Also they were entirely professional and reassuring.

I am so pleased my daughter chose Guys Hospital for her surgery.
