About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as the patient),

Amazing care at the RAH from start to finish!

I cannot praise the staff at Ward 31B and the Labour ward high enough for the care i received while in the hospital. I was constantly determined that i was not going to a city hospital to have my daughter but due to being 2 weeks overdue i ended up with no option.

A student midwife (forgotten her name) met me upon arrival and made myself and my boyfriend feel completely at ease - her bedside manner and genuine concern was so welcoming. I was due to have my waters broken in the morning but due to the staff being so helpful and aware of my dislike of hospitals they worked together to speed up the process and admitted me to the labour ward within 2 hours of check in.

In the labour ward we were met by Aimee who is an absolute gem and a credit to the service - not only an absolute professional but an amazing support to both me and my partner. I cannot emphasise enough how relaxed and calm she made us both feel and if you could clone her you should! Also (Janet/Janice) was so supportive and attentive, these ladies should be given a medal.

For the aftercare i was provided with and the way my partner was treated during our short visit, i cannot thank you all enough, you made an experience that i was not looking forward to very relaxing and as weird as it sounds enjoyable!

Baby is settling into life quite happily with her big sister!

Thankyou so much to everybody, i wish i could remember all your names to thank you all individually!

Dear Jenk90 congratulations on the arrival of your baby.

I am very happy that you had such a positive experience of care.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story, this is great for staff but even more for other women wherever they choose to birth.

Enjoy your new baby!

regards

jaki lambert
