"Visiting hours was more flexible on this ward,..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What I liked

Only fact that the visiting hours were much better then last ward previous times he was in there. Fact that it was 10.30am to 7pm which gives family more choice if they have to come from a far.

What could be improved

There is not enough space here to answer this question. But in a nutshell, everything, staff to have more consideration for visitors and patients, and their belongs and not just treat their stuff as garbage. To actually bother to answer the phone more when family are calling. Instead of it constantly ringing. Plus I find having to repeat Dads name 3 or 4 times before they can even understand me even when I speak slowly.

Anything else?

When visited Dad there, found his trousers had been chucked on the floor behind the cabinet, when told the nurse they didn't seem to care at all. When Dad came out and returned to care home hospital did not even let me know they discharged him when they said they would let me know. Unfortunately they always keep sending him to this hospital rather then KG. It seems that kin have no say these days in anything.
