"Fcirst class treatment and care - again!"

I live in an area of Wales where orthopaedic services are abysmal. However, my daughter lives in Southampton and I knew that Southampton has some of the best surgeons in the country, and who workvprivately at the Wessex.. So two years ago I had TKR here, and cannot fault the care and facilities. Absolutely excellent. Needing surgery for basal Osteoarthritis, and finding yet again that my preferred Surgeon operated here, the Wessex was the obvious choice.

Once again, the care I received from all staff was first class. The nursing and care staff were a delight; the physio who came to see me explained absolutely everything, leaving me leaflets and notes, and was lovely, and my Surgeon also came to explain everything again and check details with me, and his surgical team were great. Even the catering staff even came to double-check with me that it would be ok for me to have feta in my Greek salad as they saw I was allergic to certain cheeses!

I should also add that my room was immaculate.

I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for essential elective surgery.

My daughter will be coming here later in the summer for surgery to her foot, as we are confident that she will receive the excellent care that I have experienced.
