I cannot thank the staff of NMGH enough. I went into maternity triage with a small problem of which they kept me in for monitoring. I was swapped from labour ward - which was amazing to antenatal who were also so supportive. I then , unexpectedly, was told I was having my waters broken 3 weeks early. Again the staff within the labour room on that day were so persistent and as complications began to rise they stepped in immidiatley calling for a c-section. The girls on post natal did an amazing job of not only looking after me medically and physically but emotionally as my baby was seperated from me and into special care. They made me feel such a priority every single day. My little boy is still in the special care unit. The nurses are so informative daily and always ensure me and his dad are as involved and as up to date as possible. The ladies are a delight to be around and have made this journey a lot easier. I go home every night knowing he's in safe hands without a worry. Being a mum away from her baby I of course like to ring and check in and no matter what time, they are so happy to give me information and make me feel much more at ease. Without the staff in each of these wards/units I think me and my partner would be lost , heartbroken and not coping. My huge fear of hospitals has definitely gone after such a supportive experience and I am grateful for everything each nurse/ midwife/ doctor/ health care assistant and surgeon has done for me and my new family.
"Amazing"
