"Wouldn't recommend to anyone"

About: Crown Street Surgery

I have been a patient at crown street surgery all of my life. I have no idea who is a permanent doctor. Locum doctors come and go every few weeks and I have been unable to see the same doctor more than once and feel I have no rapport with anyone.

Some of the comments that doctors make are inappropriate, unprofessional and upsetting. I have been told "you have managed to put your make up on so you can't be that bad", "Tescos do different brands of fish fingers but they are all the same to eat" - that was regarding a change in medication that badly affected my health. "No one's ever died of fat legs" - a comment made to my grandmother. "When I've had a few too many on a Sunday night I don't want to get up in a morning but I just get on with it" and yet another one was "they struggle to take blood from you because your too chubby, bit on the large size" and "some things in the human body cannot be explained and you just have to leave them".

Every time I go to the doctors I get asked what I think my symptoms mean, they then openly Google those symptoms then tell me that I'm wrong.

The nurses are excellent, reception staff try their absolute best also. The issue is the lack of accountability of the doctors who come and go like supply teachers in a school.
