Initial consultation in late 2017. I found the consultant to be a very gentle man, welcoming, warm and respectful. Plenty of time was allowed to ensure a thorough history taking, examination, explanation of the issues surrounding my physical presentation and the surgical or non-surgical options available to me. Time was again given to allow my questions to be answered.
Surgical date was jointly agreed at the initial consultation and within eight weeks which I was extremely impressed by.
Admission on he day of surgery was smooth and efficient. All necessary and legal documentation completed by both the consultant and the anaesthetist and reassurance given.
Intra-operative and post-operative pain management was clearly very effective and the need for anti-emetics was dealt with immediately by the nursing staff.
I was discharged the day after surgery having been seen by the physio to ensure that I had all of the information I required for a safe recovery period.
A thoroughly professional service from start to finish and cosidering that I am a qualified theatre nurse with 25yrs experience in this very environment I cannot recommend the consultant and his team enough.
