"I was reassured the very best treatment would be..."

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

What I liked

My son was treated for 9 days in Intensive Care, being transferred from a county hospital.

The care he was given was outstanding and from the minute he arrived he started to make good progress.

Staff kept him informed about his care and treatment, and all family members were made welcome. They were never to busy to stop to reassure us, explaining things in a way we understood.

I am especially grateful to male nurses, who helped him overcome his embarrassment. Mind you, the female staff were excellent as well always talking to him with a smile.

There was nothing I could fault. Everyone of you must be hand picked as you are all so special.

The whole family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for their dedicated care to help my son on the road to recovery.

What could be improved

Long term parking permits for patients staying in for longer than 3 days

A room (in IntensiveCare) for families to make tea, coffee and microwave meals.

Anything else?

An address to write to the Chief Executive to tell him about the good work being carried out.
