"Catalogue of errors"

About: Warrington Hospital / Gynaecology

I was first referred 2 years ago and after an initial appointment there was no follow up. Problems escalated and so I went back and was referred for a womb ablation. Went in for the procedure to be told a temp consultant had missed a 3 inch polyp in the scan. It was so clear in the picture! No one thought to ring and tell me, just Waste a day. Delayed again and had op to remove polyps in December. This still didn’t resolve my problems and so went back. The original plan to consider a hysterectomy was now off the table and agreed to have an ablation. Rang this week to chase dates and the referral hasn’t even been made so not even on the waiting list.

The whole situation has had me crying with frustration and the basic lack of consideration for the patient.
