When my life in drug addiction had dragged me down to the lowest I though I could get, I was given the opportunity to speak to somebody who worked for Recovery Is Out There (RIOT). It's so encouraging to hear the words that you can get out of addiction and into recovery - Simon was proof!
We spoke at length about options available, and the Burton Addiction Centre (BAC) was mentioned, as it's a rehabilitation programme that I could access.
To be made aware of such a life changing plan helped me to take my first steps into a new life. People need to be told that it is possible and life can be enjoyed.
