"All the nurses went above and beyond"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 7)

(as a relative),

Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2017, just a day before her 80th birthday.

Mum was an inpatient in ward 4 in March, at Wishaw General as she had pneumonia. Sadly Mum passed away in April after being an inpatient for just under two weeks. I can’t thank the staff in ward 4 enough for their professionalism and compassion shown to both Mum and ourselves. Laura & Betty were amazing with Mum.  All the nurses went above and beyond. Nothing was ever any trouble, no matter how busy they were. For that I would like the pass on my sincere thanks to SCN G Boyle and his staff.

Dear WDA

Thank you very much for your comments in relation to the care your mother received whilst an inpatient here at University Hospital Wishaw within Ward 4. Please accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother.

I will ensure your lovely comments are fed back to the staff in Ward 4, who work so hard in delivering a high standard of care to our patients, as well as showing compassion and understanding to the families of our patients. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback, and in particular those whom you have personally named.

Thank you once again and best wishes to you and your family

Regards

Faith
