"I felt like I wasn't listened to"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I felt like I wasn't listened to when I said how anxious I was, therefore resulting in the procedure being abandoned, as I couldn't tolerate it.

I have had 3 of these procedures done before but was given more sedation to help me cope. I mentioned this to a staff member who discharged me and they just said that another patient who had the same amount of sedation as I did coped fine!?

I was disappointed on the day as I had to take a whole day off work for this and my friend had also to leave work early to pick me up.

I am still experiencing problems and pain, and was told to contact Monklands in 3 weeks if I hadn't heard anything which I did twice but didn't feel that they were able to help me.
