"Excellent Care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 7)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017, just a day before her 80th birthday.

Mum was an inpatient in ward 4 in March, at Wishaw General as she had pneumonia. Sadly Mum passed away in April after being an inpatient for nearly two weeks.  I can’t thank the staff in ward 4 enough for their professionalism and compassion shown to both Mum and ourselves. The nurses went above and beyond. Nothing was ever any trouble, no matter how busy they were. For that I would like the pass on my sincere thanks.

Dear WDA

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your mum received whilst an inpatient here in Ward 4 at University Hospital Wishaw. Please accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mum.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in Ward 4, who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard, as well as being compassionate to the families of our patients. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.

Thank you once again and best wishes to you and your family

Regards

Faith
