I waited two weeks after a debilitating knee injury before contacting the surgery.
I had to accept an appointment with a different doctor, who did no even look at the knee, but decided it must be arthritis.
I was asked to wait a month and if there was no improvement to make another appointment and the would arrange physiotherapy.
I then tried later to make another appointment only to be told there was nothing available for a month, so it was decided to refer me to the walk in centre to see a doctor there the very next day.
I was seen by a very competent doctor who examined me properly, and arranged an x-ray.
A week later I rang the surgery for the result and appointment with my doctor, but was told there was nothing for another 32 days.
I am hobbling about in some pain, and having suffered a torn cartilege three years ago, when I spent four months on crutches to finally get keyhole surgery, and I am totally disillusioned with the nhs.
