What could be improved
Seating could be improved.
Being expected to sit on the hardest seats ever experienced for periods of anything from 1 to 4 hours is outrageous, especially when taking into account that arrivals at A&E are generally ill and then have to sit in total discomfort for very long periods of time.
Calling system and que information available could be improved.
Considering we are in the 21st century admission process and information available once admitted is incredibly poor. Waiting times given are verbal and totally inaccurate. No one takes time to explain processes to you. Not clear who is making que jumping decisions behind the scenes, however strangely enough if you shout loud enough having waited for what can only be considered as an excessive ammount of time you get seen very quickly.
Get the feeling if you do not speak up you could still be sitting waiting now.
Anything else?
Whats upsetting is that when you eventually get the care you came in for its very good.
"More agonising than my illness."
