"Fantastic treatment"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Accident and emergency

My daughter was unwell and tachycardic with a high temperature. I am so happy with the treatment we received. I have known for over a week something was wrong. When we got to a and e staff actually listened to me unlike previous care I had received at the corby urgent care being treated like a neurotic mother.

We were dealt with by the paediatric team and they are a credit to the hospital staying calm in the madness that is a and e and the small space they have.

Restoring my faith that has been tested this week with the nhs service. The staff communicate well with children and parents. They were friendly and approachable and my daughter was discharged with the promise of that if anything went wrong we could come straight back and be admitted luckily this hasn't happened and the medication is working.

Just can't express how happy I am with the team.

We apologise for the delay in responding to your comments and thank you very much for your kind feedback. We try really hard to make the child and families experience a positive one and I find your feedback very reassuring. I will pass your feedback onto the team as I am sure it will be gratefully received. I am glad to hear that the medication is working and I hope your daughter is now feeling much better.

Kind regards,

Charlie Nunn - Paediatric ED Sister
