I’d like to thank one of your nurses from the Bladder and Bowel Team who stayed on scene today with a patient until our arrival to convey him to hospital.
Her name is Rachel, and she deserves a huge amount of credit and my thanks in giving myself a comprehensive handover regarding the exact nature of the patients complaint. All too often we arrive on scene with next to no information regarding why we are there and no brief explanation as to what the nurse has observed, no recorded obs, nothing, which makes our job twice as difficult as most patients have no idea why we’re there.
So again, Rachel, many many thanks. If we came across more nurses like you our job would be so much easier and a lot less fraught.
