While cycling up a steep hill I became overtired and fainted on reaching the top. A passer-by called the police, who checked me over and arranged for me (and the bike) to be taken to Epsom hospital. Despite being evidently run off their feet all the staff were helpful, kindly and efficient. They did thorough checks on my heart, blood tests, and the tests for stroke, and were able eventually to release me with a clean bill of health. The A&E receptionist also kindly arranged a taxi with bicycle-carrying capability.
