In April 2018

I had a total hip replacement at the Shepton Malket NHS Treatmebt Centre. This was my one and only ever operation and I was duly nervous. I had no reason to be so ... from the moment of arrival though to the operation and up to my discharge I was treated warmly, with professionalism and total care. The operation was done within one hour and with an epidural, music to listen to and light sedation all went smoothly and with the added bonus of no recovery time from general anaesthetic. Every single member of this centre should be highly commended not just for the professional job they do but for the care and respect they show. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you.

At Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment centre we aim to provide a high quality, individualised patient focused service ensuring every patient is treated with the care and respect they deserve (and which we would all want for ourselves) and it was lovely to hear that you have been satisfied with our efforts. We understand that admission to hospital can be both a frightening and daunting prospect and believe that clear and careful communication is the key to establishing good rapport to allay those fears, which in turn helps to improve the experience. I hope this experience will therefore mean that should you require any surgery in the future, you will be less nervous than you were.

We hope you have made a good recovery and have achieved the outcome you were hoping for.
